Dulwich College (Singapore) is an International school with British Independent school ethos and values, it draws upon 400 years of excellence and tradition from Dulwich College. Occupying a five-hectare site in Bukit Batok, Dulwich College has state-of-the-art facilities and classrooms on a purpose built campus.
We designed, supplied, tested and commissioned an addressable VESDA-E VEA system for the DUCKS classrooms occupying three floors in Year 2015. This solution provided Interruption-free business operation with centralised testing and maintenance to the client. The VESDA-E VEA detectors combine VESDA reliability and early warning smoke detection with pinpoint addressability and a variety of annunciation options that truly surpass traditional spot detectors.
Centralized test and maintenance feature in VEA reduces service time by up to 90% and saves up to 60% in TCO. Unlike spot type detectors, troubleshooting does not require the technicians to enter the classrooms anymore. Addressability of Alarm at each classroom was clearly annunciates on the VSM4 graphics workstation which made it possible for the ERT team to respond quickly. VESDANET integration using the current CCTV network also greatly reduced the project cost.
The National University of Singapore (NUS) is an autonomous research university in Singapore. Founded in 1905 as a medical college, it is the oldest institute of higher learning (IHL) in Singapore, as well as the largest university in the country in terms of student enrolment and curriculum offered.
As the large campus with numerous building was having different brands for proprietary fire alarm system it was required to have a single backbone fire alarm system that will annunciate fire signals from all the buildings at various command centres spread across the campus. We was able to design and supply a fire alarm system that communicated through single mode fibre optic that annunciate the fire signals a three of the fire command centres at the campus.
We programmed, tested and commissioned the fire alarm system for ITE College central which consists of 11 panels.
We upgraded all the old fire alarm system panels due to parts unavailability. Upgrading of 21 control panels while maintaining the communication with the old panels was a challenge we had to overcome in this project.
